    No Need for Chlorine

    Without sanitation, algae, viruses, fungi and other micro-organisms can originate, grow exponentially and infest the average pool in less than one hour. Swimming pools can also harbor disease causing pathogens brought in by bathers or the environment. The biocidal effect of copper ions stems from a combination of mechanisms. These positively charged metallic ions attach to the negatively charged bacteria cell membrane and cause cell lyses and death. Unlike chlorine, ionization does not create dangerous disinfection byproducts.

    Developed by NASA, ionization is the least expensive of all disinfecting methods and the only method that produces healthy pool water. It is the easiest of all disinfecting methods to maintain and monitor. The complete system comes with the electronic control unit, copper electrode and test kits.
